Background
Fr Michael Roper has served in parish ministry for over two decades, combining deep pastoral experience with a strong commitment to inclusive and community-focused leadership.
He trained for the priesthood at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield, following studies at Guildford College.
His ministry has included roles as Curate in Mortlake with East Sheen, Priest-in-Charge at St Paul’s Egham Hythe, and Interim Minister at St Barnabas Epsom. Since 2019, he has been Vicar of St John the Baptist, Old Malden, where he continues to nurture faith, guide parish life, and serve the wider community with warmth and dedication.
